AN expert on online dating and cyber stalking has said the conviction of a man who raped five women he met on the website "has come as no surprise" to him.

Jonathan Bishop said his research shows that women who use online dating services receive more messages than men and that when they do not respond they can become the victims of harassment.

Mr Bishop, who founded the organisation Action On Digital Addiction And Cyberstalking, has also praised Derbyshire police for bringing Jason Lawrance to justice.
