"We have a system in place to remove these profiles from the app.If a user encounters a profile violating our terms, we encourage them to report it." Many of you in the 12-step programs know the suggestions. I must agree also, I met my sweetie when he was very fresh in the recovery process. Thank the gods above he is a little shy of 18 months. I believe God/"Higher Power" put us together at that time to help each other through. You realize that your partner is fighting a battle. you could be coping with how sober feels, with how you feel in a new relationship. No relationships seemed to be what I needed, and looking back upon it now. I have a short attention span, and fewer distractions helped me focus on my program. I guess because my coping skills still aren`t fully developed.. Time and possibly counseling/therapy will help you identify who you are and maybe how you did attract the loser or losers in your life. I still like him so today is a good day Honestly Sf J, those 2 years or so, it wasn't real hard.

One of them is that people in early recovery should avoid dating during the first year of recovery and clean time. The old joke says it like this: “It’s actually OK to have sex during the first year of recovery, and then in the second year, you can have sex with a partner.” Ha ha. A few reasons come to mind- It is too easy to get wrapped up in the new person and lose focus on who your focus needs to be on. You will go through a lot of tremendous change that first year. Going from hyper-sexual to None in a new relationship is tuff. I was able to feel all the emotions that working the steps dug up, and process them. I see alot of people here doing just that - jumping from one relationship before one is even complete and then all of a sudden, the new one is just like the old one and then wondering why they always get stuck with the jerks. I was for a couple years after my first and only divorce. Holidays coming up, lonely, you got it - rushed in again- and again it did not work. Wasn't like I was turning down any good guys- most didn't have jobs, still living at home with Momma.

But seriously, I’ve heard the same thing in rehab: “No dating during the first year of recovery.” CMA and NA people have often said the same thing. It's like eating a biscuit that isn't done in the middle- the biscuit can be eaten -but it tastes much better if you are patient and let it cook. Riding that emotional rollercoaster with a partner would have been difficult. As much as I hate to admit it, yeah, I think you`re right. when I first got out of rehab, this guy I`d been close with during my "venge" started coming around and we started dating. Of course I tried the rushing into a relationship first. And to me, the majority were sleeping with anything that had 2 legs so I didn't consider it a compliment when they hit on me. First marriage ,rush job- lasted a year and a half. As for slow: Hubby and I were friends for a long time before we ever dated- at least 6 months or so.

Drug dealers are using the dating app Tinder to sell their wares online.

The Herald on Sunday has seen several instances of users advertising they are looking to either sell or buy marijuana through the app, which offers a degree of privacy not given by other social media platforms.

Police do not hold statistics on the number of times Tinder had been used to sellillegal drugs, but a spokeswoman said they were concerned by anything used for illegal dealings.Police were aware of "a number of avenues through which offenders are selling illicit drugs which include social media sites".Incidents were investigated on a case-by-case basis, she said, but would not comment further.Netsafe boss Martin Crocker said the online safety organisation had not received any reports of drugs being sold on Tinder but the app would be an obvious choice for dealers."It's probably no surprise people would use person-to-person apps to try to sell illegal items because of the additional privacy the apps provide."In many regards people would feel, and probably are correct in feeling, that apps like Tinder are more private and anonymous than other social media services." A Tinder spokesman said profiles promoting illegal drugs violated the app's terms of service.
